Jonathan M Woodward 

Jonathan Woodward is an audio journalist and broadcast storytelling professional bringing two decades of film, television, stage, radio and live event programming to the job of unpacking the stories of our times. Trained at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the Experimental Theatre Wing, Woodward spent the formative years of his storytelling career developing audio installment live performance theater and touring internationally with the groundbreaking Big Dance Theater company.

 A film and television career occupied the body of his work moving from live stages in New York, London, and California to sound stages for FOX, NBC, and HBO. Starring opposite Emma Thompson in Mike Nichol’s film adaptation of Wit for HBO, three Joss Whedon productions, and indie feature films.

 Woodward turned his attentions to non-fiction storytelling and radio journalism six years ago as on-air host and producer at public radio member station Maine Public, earned his master’s degree in public media journalism from Fordham University as WFUV News Fellow, earning awards from the New York State Broadcasters Association and the national Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. Currently he produces a podcast for Religion News Service examining the ideas and context behind the news of religion.
